A Palm Beach County native, Shane Johnson’s passion for cooking started as a teen while working at a local pizza restaurant. Realizing his talent in high school, he took a job as a line cook at the local Bonefish Grill where he learned leadership skills and gained experience in the hospitality industry. Johnson enhanced his culinary skills by traveling the county and working at numerous restaurants, including Carrabba’s, Guanabanas, The Cheesecake Factory, Pacifica Hotels Hospitality, Batch Southern Kitchen, and Benihana. He also helped to open five restaurants for Blooming Brands, and two restaurants in Australia, gaining overseas culinary experience. Johnson later moved to Port St. Lucie and became a culinary director for Kyle G’s Restaurants, where he opened three concepts, learned new skills, and developed new passions for the culinary industry. He continues his love for fine dining and cooking at BEACON.
