Oscar Miranda thought about a career in computer programming and website development– until he discovered the hospitality industry. His greatest joy is making people smile.
Miranda moved to South Florida from New York City and began climbing the ladder at The Breakers Palm Beach where he was promoted from assistant server to bartender. Driven by his desire to learn, he studied with master sommeliers Virginia Philip and Juan Gomez. Miranda attained his Level 2 Sommelier certification in August 2017, and the distinction opened doors for him to gain experience in restaurant management. He worked as a maitre d’ and assistant sommelier at the Sailfish Club of Florida in Palm Beach, and as a dining room manager for Table 26 in West Palm Beach.
Miranda feels at home in South Florida, and spends his free time outdoors kayaking, long-distance cycling, and soaking up the sunshine.
